As with any collection, at some point if the influx of new is greater than the purging of the old, you’re going to run out of space. It’s simple to understand, but hard to cope with if you’re not willing to let go of some items. So how can you deal with this situation?
Organization is a good start to making some sense of what you have. You can pile a bunch of boxed figures in a corner, but they’re not really much use to you if you can’t get to them easily or worse yet, if you can’t even really SEE what’s in the boxes!
I’m guilty of letting my toy room become my “storage room”. It’s easy to get something new and have real life pull you away and then something ELSE shows up and the same things happen again. After a little while you end up with a pile of stuff that you’ve never even had a chance to open, customize, or play with.
